Create a debate
On the web browser:
- Go to the "Debates” section.
- Click on the “Create Debate” button, located on the right side of the sub bar.
- On this screen, you will able to create a new debate. Please ensure to carefully follow each and every step.
- Click on the "Create” button, located on the right side of the top bar.
On the mobile app:
- Go to the "Debate” section.
- Tap on the plus (➕) icon, located on the right side of the sub bar.
- On this screen, you will able to create a new debate. Please ensure to carefully follow each and every step.
- Tap on the "Create” button, located on the right side of the top bar.
Change or edit the cover image of your debate
On the web browser:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Click on "Edit Debate” button.
- Click on the "Change Cover Photo" option in the center of the cover image.
- In the dropdown menu, you can decide whether to edit the existing cover photo or upload a new one.
- Click on the "Update” button, located on the right side of the top bar.
On the mobile app:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Tap on "Edit Debate” button.
- Tap on the "Change Cover Photo" option in the center of the cover image.
- In the bottom sheet menu, you can choose to either edit or upload a new cover image or capture a new photo.
- Tap on the "Update” button, located on the right side of the top bar.
Set your debate private
Debate Privacy enables you to set your debate to private, ensuring that the content shared on your debate will only be visible by PoliticAll users whom you have accepted as members.
On the web browser:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Click on the “Edit Debate” button.
- Locate the “Debate Privacy” section.
- To make your debate private, simply toggle the switch to the "on" position.
- Click on the "Update” button, located on the right side of the top bar.
On the mobile app:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Click on the “Edit Debate” button.
- Locate the “Debate Privacy” section.
- To make your debate private, simply toggle the switch to the "on" position.
- Tap on the "Update” button, located on the right side of the top bar.
Add or edit the debate bio
Including a bio in your debate can have a great impact on your community. It enhances your online presence, distinguishes you from others, and concurrently plays a crucial role in establishing trust.
On the web browser:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Click on the “Edit Debate” button.
- Locate the "Bio" section.
- Add or edit a concise and comprehensive debate description.
- Click on the "Update” button, located on the right side of the top bar.
On the mobile app:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Tap on the “Edit Debate” button.
- Locate the "Bio" section.
- Add or edit a concise and comprehensive debate description.
- Tap on the "Update” button, located on the right side of the top bar.
Set your debate interests
On the web browser:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Click on the “Edit Debate” button.
- Locate the “Select interest” section.
- In this section, select all the interests you believe the debate is actively involved in.
- Click on the "Update” button, located on the right side of the top bar.
On the mobile app:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Click on the “Edit Debate” button.
- Locate the “Select interest” section.
- In this section, select all the interests you believe the debate is actively involved in.
- Tap on the "Update” button, located on the right side of the top bar.
Link your debate to your group
On the web browser:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Click on "Edit Debate” button.
- Locate and select one of the "Create by” dropdown menu.
- Once the dropdown menu appears, select the Group that you want to associate the debate with.
- Click on the "Update” button, located on the right side of the top bar.
On the mobile app:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Tap on "Edit Debate” button.
- Locate and tap on "Create by” dropdown menu.
- On this bottom sheet menu, select the Group that you want to associate the debate with.\
- Tap on the "Update” button, located on the right side of the top bar.
Please note that in order to link your debate to your group, you must have previously created a group.
How to share a debate on your profile or social media
On the web browser:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Locate and select the share (↗️) button.
- On the dropdown menu, select the option that suits your preferences.
- Follow the procedure to share the debate.
On the mobile app:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Locate and tap on the share (↗️) button.
- On the bottom sheet, select the option that suits your preferences.
- Follow the procedure to share the debate.
Invite people to join your debate
On the web browser:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Locate and select the more (•••) icon.
- On the dropdown menu, locate and select “Invite people to join”.
- On the popup, select as many user as you wish to invite.
- Click on the "Invite” button, located on the right side of the popup.
On the mobile app:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Locate and select the more (•••) icon.
- On the bottom sheet menu, locate and tap “Invite people to join”.
- On the invite people screen, select as many user as you wish to invite.
- Tap on the "Invite” button, located on the right side of the top bar.
Delete your debate
On the web browser:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Locate and select the more (•••) icon.
- On the dropdown menu, locate and select “Delete debate”.
- Confirm your choice.
On the mobile app:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Locate and select the more (•••) icon.
- On the bottom sheet menu, locate and tap on “Delete debate”.
- Confirm your choice.
Report a debate
On the web browser:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Locate and select the more (•••) icon.
- On the dropdown menu, locate and select “Report debate”.
- On the popup, select one of the reasons for reporting the selected debate.
- Click on the "Report” button to complete the procedure.
On the mobile app:
- Go to the debate timeline.
- Locate and select the more (•••) icon.
- On the bottom sheet menu, locate and tap “Report debate”.
- On the report bottom sheet, select one of the reasons for reporting the selected debate.
- Tap on the "Report” button to complete the procedure.
