It is no secret that leaders in the US have overseen some deeply questionable military decisions that have lead to things that have violated human rights and numerous international military laws. However, there is a law in the US entitled the 'American Service-Members' Protection Act' that states that if any international entity (specifically the UN) were to try anybody affiliated with the US for war crimes then the US would take immediate military action against them.
